SQL Object Dependency Analyzer with AI-Powered Code Review
โ ๏ธ Expected Download Warning
Your browser may show a security warning when downloading the installer.
Windows and browsers flag downloads from new sources as "not commonly downloaded." This is normal for beta software.
The installer is safe - it's simply not yet widely distributed.
What to do:
- If your browser shows a warning, click "Keep" or "Download anyway"
- If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" then "Run anyway"
โ
This warning is expected and safe to bypass for beta software from trusted sources.
๐ก๏ธ One-Time Certificate Installation
First-time installation requires a security certificate.
The installer will automatically:
- Extract and verify the embedded security certificate
- Request Administrator permission to install it (one-time only)
- Install SODA+ AI seamlessly
โ
This is a normal, secure installation process. The certificate ensures the app runs safely on Windows.

๐ ๏ธ Troubleshooting: Download & Installation Help
๐ Complete Step-by-Step Guide

Problem: Browser shows "This file is not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous"
๐ Microsoft Edge / Chrome:
- Click the download to view details
- Click the "..." (three dots) menu
- Select "Keep"
- Confirm "Keep anyway"
๐ฆ Firefox:
- Click the downloads arrow (top-right)
- Right-click the blocked file

โ
Result: File downloads successfully to your Downloads folder
Step 2: Restore from Windows Defender (if quarantined)
Problem: File disappears after download or Windows Defender blocks it
- Open Windows Security (search in Start menu)

- Click "Protection history"
- Find "Install-SODA_1.6.0.exe" in the list
- Click "Actions" โ "Allow on device"

โ

Step 3: Unblock the Downloaded File
Optional but recommended before running the installer:
- Navigate to your Downloads folder
- Right-click on "Install-SODA_1.6.0.exe"
- Select "Properties"
- At the bottom, check the "Unblock" checkbox (if present)
- Click "Apply" โ "OK"
โ
Result: Windows marks the file as safe to run
Step 4: Bypass SmartScreen "Windows protected your PC"
Problem: Blue SmartScreen warning appears when running installer
- Double-click "Install-SODA_1.6.0.exe"
- SmartScreen shows: "Windows protected your PC - Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting"
- Click "More info" (small link on the warning)
- Click "Run anyway" button (now visible)
- Accept the User Account Control (UAC) prompt
โ
Result: Installer launches successfully
โ Why Does This Happen?
Windows SmartScreen protects users by checking file reputation. New software without
thousands of downloads triggers warnings until reputation is established.
- This is normal for beta software - even legitimate applications show these warnings initially
- The file is safe - it's simply not yet widely distributed
- Commercial release will use an EV certificate for instant trust (coming in v1.9.0)
๐ Your download is protected: The installer is signed and secure, just building reputation.
๐ฏ Still Having Issues?
If you continue experiencing problems after following all steps above:
- Temporarily disable real-time protection in Windows Security (re-enable after installation)
- Check third-party antivirus - it may have additional blocking features
- Contact support via GitHub Issues with your Windows version and antivirus software

โ About the Certificate
This beta uses a self-signed certificate to enable installation on Windows.
The installer will request Administrator permission once to add this certificate to your trusted store.
This is a standard security practice for beta software.
The v1.9.0 production release will use a commercial code-signing certificate,
which eliminates the need for manual approval.
โ
The software is safe - the certificate simply identifies the developer.
